We at Evolve Retail have customised our online ordering platform to deliver a solution for workwear providers. Our UK based customer’s current system was no longer fit for purpose and needed replacing.

Reported pain points were:

  • Imminent hike in running costs from their existing system provider
  • Unable to meet the demands of their customers with frequent requests for additional functionality.
  • Using costly call centres to compensate for basic online services a user would expect
  • Dated UI and poor usability
  • Slow site speed
  • No mobile functionality 
  • Our challenge was to rebuild the existing platform with added new features to support process improvement and integrate to a new ERP system.

Once our discovery process was complete, the design process began by firstly mapping out the detailed requirements followed by the design of a new site that was intuitive for users with enhanced UX for complex processes.  

Working in partnership with an ERP system provider, we designed and built a fully integrated PWA front-end. 

Key features of the new site include:

  • Order processing
  • Catalogue management
  • Budget controls
  • Approvals and permissions
  • Improved reporting
  • Two store-views

A custom build, from scratch would have cost our customer significantly more than they had budgeted and an off the shelf solution wouldn’t have been able to provide the complex functionality needed. Evolve Retail’s online ordering platform is a flexible alternative. We used our existing technology platform and then customised it to include the controls and processes required. This means our customer can continue to grow and adapt to the needs of the industry at pace, with a defined roadmap.
